Understanding Naturalization vs Citizenship

While naturalization and citizenship ultimately lead to the same outcome, they entail different processes. A Citizenship Certificate may be issued to a child born in a foreign country if their parents hold U.S. citizenship. On the other hand, the naturalization process is typically pursued by individuals aged 18 or older who hold a green card. Before applying for naturalization, eligible applicants must have held their green card for five years (or three years if married to a U.S. citizen).

Naturalization grants residents the right to vote and offers protection from deportation. It represents a significant milestone in the journey toward full integration and participation in American society.

I-601A Waivers

If you or a loved one entered unlawfully to the United States, they may be eligible to apply for an I-601A waiver with USCIS. Our team specializes in these cases and has had a 100% success rate. Contact us today to see if you are eligible for this immigration benefit.

DACA Renewals

One June 15, 2012, President Barack Obama announced a new immigration benefit for some undocumented immigrants who entered the country as children to temporarily live in the US and work. Unfortunately, new applications are not being accepted at this time and only renewal applications are being accepted. It is important that all DACA recipients file their renewals in a timely manner.
